How Do We – I, You, He, She, They,… – Really Want to Live, or Cling to the Past?
The selection for gute aussichten 2022/2023 spans photographic research ranging from an examination of the natural environment to the state of being and perception of a young generation in the digital world, from one’s own ambivalent identity to the relationship between mothers and daughters as an exemplary metaphor for a social model, and from outwitting ubiquitous face recognition to an investigative approach that reveals the political intrigues of a European state based on the rule of law. This stimulates a young generation that is confronted with constant internal and external doubt to search for constructive visual solutions.
